Hide your WiFi Network from your Friends and Neighbours

When we situated a Routers in our Home the Network of our WiFi goes to outside our home and our Neighbours can access them easily by seeing the Signal of our WiFi and your neighbours will suck your Data. To prevent it from your Neigbours you can hide the Network of your WiFi easily. Today in this post i will show you how to hide your WiFi network.

Every Wireless network has an Service Set Identifier (SSID) which means the name of your Wireless network. You can disable the SSID. By default SSID is enable which means the Network of your Router will be visible to all.

To Hide your WiFi Network follow the following points:

1. Enter your Router's IP address into the URL of your Internet Browser

By Default IP address for almost all systems is " 192.168.1.1 " or you can check the IP address manually by seeing on the bottom of your routers which lists information like network key, SSID and encryption key. Enter the routers IP address when you are connected to your network.

2. Enter your login information

If your page is redirected to the page which prompts you to enter login credentials then enter your login information to access the control panel. By default username is "admin" only. The username and password are written on the bottom of routers.

3. Change the SSID name which means Network name

After you login to the control panel of your routers Go to Homepage then click on General setup > Wireless > Basic Settings then click on next and change the SSID name. The name of the SSID will be your name of the Wireless Network.

4. Disable your Broadcast SSID

This is your last steps to hide your Network. After changing the name of SSID click on the advanced setting and Disable the Broadcasd SSID and click on the apply button. This will hide your WiFi Network completely and no one can see this network or no can access.

How to access the Hidden WiFi Network

As your WiFi Network is hidden you will be not able to see the network. To access the WiFi Network follow the following points

To access the WiFi Network, click on the add button which is situated on the bottom of your mobile display.

Enter your Network SSID name which you changed earlier.
Enter the type of security which is WPA2 PSK.

Enter your Network Password and click on save button.

Your Device will authenticate the login information which you provide, if all are correct then your device is connected to your WiFi Network and you can access them.
